Chocolate Truffle Pie

 

Chocolate goes great with red wine

 

                1 1/4 pkg. (10 squares)           1/2 c. sugar                                    semi-sweet baking chocolate

                 1/4 c. flour                                  1/2 c. whipping cream                 1 c. whipping cream
                 4 eggs                                         whole orange  for topping

Preheat oven to 375 degrees.  Place chocolate in large micro-waveable bowl. Add whipping cream. Microwave on high 2 minutes or until chocolate is almost melted. Stir until chocolate is completely melted; cool slightly. Add eggs, sugar and flour; beat with wire whisk until well blended.Pour into lightly greased 9-inch pie plate. Bake 35 minutes or until outter half of pie is puffed but enter is still slightly
soft; cool. Serve topped with whipped cream.

Make-Your-Own Mulling Spices Recipe

Makes 1 1/2 cups spice mixture

INGREDIENTS:

                6 cinnamon sticks                         small whole nutmeg            1 star anise (Optional)

                1/2 cup whole cloves                    1/2 cup whole allspice         grated peel of one
                1 tablespoon candied ginger      whole orange

DIRECTIONS:

1. Break up the cinnamon, nutmeg, start anise and allspice with a hammer. Mix all ingredients together and store for a week or so in a glass Mason jar. The storage time allows the flavors to blend. 2. When you are ready to use it, place two tablespoons of the spice mix in a small, muslin square and tie the top with
twine.  Add the bag to one bottle of wine and warm (do not boil).

Mulled Wine

 

                                                                            1 Bottle of Kimball Creek
                                                                            1 Cinnamon Stick

                        Combine ingredients in a crock pot and heat on low.  Do not boil.

If you are in a hurry, you can heat it on the stove.  Just make sure you don't let is boil.

The quickest, easiest, and best mulled wine ever. 

Tastes like warm apple pie!

Punch

 

                Frozen orange juice 16 oz.       Frozen lemonade 16 oz.        Ginger ale 2 quarts
                Cranberry juice 2 pints              Wild Rose 2 bottles

Grape Escape's Famous Mojito Recipe

INGREDIENTS:

 

:2 Bottles Grape Escape Kimball Creek Wine
2 Liters of lemon-lime soda
6 Fresh limes
6 - 10 Fresh mint leaves

 

DIRECTIONS:

 

1. Wash limes, cut into quarters, squeeze juice into pitcher,
 and toss rinds  into pitcher.
2. Wash mint leaves, shred leaves by hand, and toss into
pitcher.
3. Add soda and wine to the pitcher,  mix.
4. Let sit in refrigerator for 1 hour for flavors to blend.
5. Serve chilled over ice.

Cowboy Caviar

 

INGREDIENTS:

 

2 tablespoons Simply Red Wine

1 1/2 to 2 teaspoons hot sauce

1 1/2 teaspoons salad oil

1 clove garlic, minced

1/8 teaspoon pepper

1 firm-ripe avocado (about 10 oz.)

1 can (15 oz.) black-eyed peas

1 can (11 oz.) corn kernels

2/3 cup thinly sliced green onions

2/3 cup chopped fresh cilantro

1/2 pound Roma tomatoes, coarsely chopped

Salt

1 bag (6 oz.) tortilla chips or 2 cups finely shredded cabbage

 

PREPARATION:

 

1. In a large bowl, mix Simply Red wine, hot sauce, oil, garlic, and pepper. Peel, pit, and cut avocado into 1/2 inch cubes, Add to Simply Red wine mixture and mix gently to coat.

 

2. Drain and rinse peas and corn. Add peas, corn, onions, cilantro, and tomatoes to avocado, mix gently to coat. Add salt to taste. Serve pea mixture with chips as an appetizer, or add cabbage and mix to make a salad.

Midnight Mary

Midnight Mary is a bloody mary made with wine. Simple and easy. Just mix Midnight Run with your favorite bloody mary mix in equal portions.  We use either Zin Zang and Mr. & Mrs. T.  Zin Zang is a little spicier.

Red Sangria

Combine equal portions of Rileigh Red and Rose City Red.  Add frozen fruit, stir, and serve.

Don't forget to each the fruit. After soaking in the wine, it is very tasty.

White Sangria

Pour one bottle of Fifty Shades of Grape in a pitcher.

Add 1/2 cup of Peach Schnapps and stir.

Add frozen white fruit and stir.

Sit back and enjoy!
